Safety

The safety of our guests is our top priority. Here you will find all the important information you need for a safe and relaxed visit to the fan zones in Bern.

1. General safety information

To ensure a safe experience, we work closely with professional security services, the police, medical services and the authorities. Please follow the instructions of the staff on site – they are there for your safety.

Please note that all pyrotechnics and fireworks are prohibited in the city of Bern.

The city of Bern has set up an awareness team for UEFA Women's EURO 2025. They are wearing purple vests and are there to help you at any time.

If you feel uncomfortable, observe anything critical or need a place to retreat, please call  +41 31 321 55 55.

2. Admission & access controls

For individual concerts, access controls may be in place at the Fan Zone on Bundesplatz. Random bag checks will also be carried out. Please note: glass bottles, pyrotechnics, weapons, umbrellas (folding umbrellas are permitted) and dangerous items are prohibited. If the maximum number of visitors is reached, access may be restricted.

3. Behaviour in an emergency

In an emergency, remain calm and follow the announcements and instructions of the security staff. Escape routes and emergency exits are clearly signposted.

4. Medical service & first aid

A medical team is on site during all opening hours (2:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.). The first aid station is clearly marked and indicated on the site map. If you feel unwell, please speak to the staff – we will help you quickly and discreetly.

5. Security service & police

The fan zones are supervised by trained security personnel and the police. They are available at all times and can be recognised by their clothing. Please report any unusual occurrences or incidents immediately.

6. Protection of minors

Special protective measures apply to children and young people. There is a strict ban on the sale of alcohol to minors. The points of sale are marked accordingly.

7. Accessibility & inclusion

The fan zones are largely barrier-free. Special access to the hospitality lounge and assistance are available for guests with limited mobility. Our team will be happy to help if required – just ask us!

8. Weather & environmental protection measures

The event will take place in almost all weather conditions. In extreme heat or thunderstorms, safety measures may be implemented at short notice. Protect yourself with sunscreen, drink plenty of water and pay attention to weather warnings.

9. Lost property & missing persons

Have you lost something or lost sight of someone accompanying you? Please report to the information point in the Bundesplatz fan zone.
 
Lost property can be collected from the lost property office at Predigergasse 5 from the following day.
 
Lost property office opening hours
Monday to Friday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Thursday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday, 12 and 19 July: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

10. Unattended items

Do not leave your luggage unattended and report any unattended items to the nearest security staff. If you wish to store your luggage, please use the lockers at Bern railway station.
