Volunteers

For the Host City of Bern, one thing was clear: the volunteers were the heart of the event.

They were in contact with visitors from different countries, were always on site, took care of any issues and were extremely helpful. All volunteers were trained and briefed on site to foster a sense of community, team spirit and the necessary expertise. This ensured that every volunteer understood their area of responsibility and was optimally prepared.

In the Host City of Bern, around 100 volunteers worked voluntarily for approximately 10,000 hours in the city centre and on the way to the stadium. In addition, there were around 300 volunteers in and around the Wankdorf Stadium on match days.
